The Kookaburra Room - Age 3 - 5 yrs

The Kookaburra Room offers a holistic approach to early childhood education, blending school readiness with exploration, creativity, and environmental awareness.

 

Our preschool team is dedicated to preparing children for their transition to school through a school readiness program. With a focus on early literacy and numeracy skills, this program is thoughtfully designed to support children's cognitive development while maintaining a playful and engaging learning environment.

The Kookaburra Room embraces a child-led approach to learning balanced with intentional teaching, where activities are tailored to the interests and curiosity of the children. A diverse range of activities, including art and craft, science experiments, music and movement, and cultural awareness experiences, are offered. This child-centred approach not only promotes engagement and motivation but also encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.

Preschool children engage in activities such as composting, planting, and observing native bees at work in our Eco Garden. These experiences instil important values of sustainability and stewardship.
