Parental Involvement

 

Families are an important and essential part of our Possums’ community. As a not for profit organisation we are managed by a committee of parents who have children enrolled at the service. They are a valued and essential part of our community.

 

Families are actively encouraged to visit and to participate in the daily program at Possums because we believe that learning is enriched when families share their culture, careers, and home life.

 

Staff work closely and collaboratively with all families and children. They are available for informal chats on a daily basis, for formal meetings whenever required and for scheduled parent-teacher interviews twice a year.

 

There are opportunities for families to participate in social events, fundraising, working bees and special family events throughout the year including Mother's Day Breakfast, Father's Day Breakfast, Grandparent's Morning Tea and Family Fun Day.
